Vintage Tonala Tray Ken Edwards El Palomar Bird and Leaves Mexican Folk Art Signed In the 1960’s Ken Edwards moved to Tonala Mexico where he founded a stoneware company. He began with his traditional Tonala line then later designed the Ken Edwards Collection. These two lines are stoneware which is very strong and resilient. Each of the painters in the workshop sign their pieces with a symbol for example, insects or small animals. All Ken Edwards / El Palomar are handcrafted, food safe and can be put in the dishwasher.
