Vintage Tribal Silver Hand Stamped Chandelier Style Gypsy Earrings •Great vintage condition. •These were purchased by a dear friend in the 80s from a shop that specialized in importing antiques and other items from the Middle East. I know the man that opened the shop, it was much loved, and my friend purchased many items from there. I never went there, but my friend gifted me her jewelry and rugs. •These are not heavy, all handcrafted from tribal Afghan artisans. Tribal artisans didn't use modern 925 stamps. There is a lot of information about silver online. •Afghanistan does not have silver mines, so silver was acquired through trade. Silver, 925, is not pure silver. It is a blend of copper and other alloys. I understand the need for proof, but unfortunately, the stamps on this are the decorative ones, and I love that these are handmade. They make a statement alone and will enhance any outfit.
