Vintage Trinket Velvet Lined Box ‘Portrait of a Sonia’ by La Tour Silk Portrait

A beautiful little gilt metal filigree jewelry box with a lid of satin type fabric printed with a design from the painting of “"PORTRAIT OF SONIA" by LA TOUR.H.F (1836- 1904). The box measures approximately 2 1/4" tall by 3" square, it is lined in a gold velvet. The base has the original label giving the details of the artist. The condition of the box is very good with just slight aging to the goldtone that adds rather than detracts from the look, it would be perfect for rings, earrings and other small pieces, or add to a collection of pretty boxes or vanity items.
