Vintage Tropical 1940’s Linen Black & White Stripe Palm Ruffle Dress

This is one of those dresses that I found in LA and wondered if this Farm Rio or is from an old movie? It’s so beautiful! I believe this is from the 1940’s but can confirm because…no tags. It is absolutely vintage though. This is a stunning tropical palm dress. Black and white with ruffles. Would be perfect for a wedding guest dress, vacation attire or a night out dancing! Also wonderful for a unique Halloween costume. Carmen Miranda perhaps?! I believe this is made from a light weight linen. Black ribbon trim. Ruffles. White cotton slip skirt lining. Looks to be only worn once. Back zip closure with hook and eye at top Good vintage condition. Has a small area of pit stain on either pit. A small brown dot on the waist. And a little brown in the bottom of the skirt in the stripes. All in last photos. Also a yellow spot in lining that I had no room for in photo but it does not show through to the dress. No tags. 26” waist 33” bust approx
