Vintage Uwade Kyusu (Japaneses Teapot) Blue and White Porcelain with Rattan Handle I picked up this lovely little set upon my return visit to Japan in 1995 to visit some dear friends and ironically one of my friends gifted me a duplicate set. This set has never been used and the gifted set was more precious to me. To give you an idea of the durability of this set I have used the duplicate, in college and beyond multiple times a week for almost 30 years now. It has endured without chipping or staining. It is a wonderful set, it keeps the tea hot and filters the loose tea extremely well! This is a traditional unmarked Uwade Kyusu which means Japanese teapot with a handle on top. These pots are traditionally used for brewing green tea, I have always used my dobin for such, but you could use it for any loose leaf tea if you prefer.
