Vintage Velveteen Dress

Beautiful 1950's or early 60's Villager shirtwaist dress in a warm turmeric-colored velveteen fabric. Abalone buttons run all the way down the front, and a single hook-and-eye closes up the waist. Hook cinches the waist a little bit tight, but it could easily be moved an inch. Beautiful high scoop neck, folded cuffs, lovely pleating and a full skirt that really needs a petticoat. Seams are single stitch, and raw edges are pinked the inside of the piece. Dress is in excellent condition for a piece this old with a few flaws all pictured.
