Vintage Gunne Sax Black Velvet Dress, Jessica McClintock Victorian Goth Lace Silk Rayon Velvet Bustle Detail Dress Size Vintage 14 This was purchased from the original owner who bought it in New York in the 1980s from the Gunne Sax store in Manhattan. There’s some beautiful detail on the back that I’ve done my best to capture, black velvet does eat light so it is very difficult to photograph. There is a single small hole in the lace that I was only able to find after turning it inside out and examining it with a fine tooth comb, there is a photograph of where the hole is in the back. This is one of the best examples of this type of dress that I have come across.
