Vintage Wade Irish Coffee Mug Made in Ireland

Mugs each measure 4.5” tall 3” diameter and features Irish Coffee written in gold lettering . Color is green/blue. Mug is is great condition. Made in Ireland! Irish Wade Pottery began in 1946 under the name Wade Ulster- a subsidiary of Wade And Sons in England. The company didn’t enter into the ornamental pottery field until 1953, which is when the first actual piece of Wade Pottery was made. It’s also when they received their own Backstamp to differentiate themselves from Wade Pottery in England. Their backstamp featured the Shamrock, paying homage to Ireland. Their Wade Glaze became very popular and the blue, green and gray glaze could be spotted on most Tankards sold during that period.
