Vintage Wallet Hand Tooled Leather Wallet Hummingbird Floral Scene Whipstitched

Vintage Wallet, Hand Tooled, Leather Wallet, Hummingbird Floral Scene, Whipstitched Edges, Checkbook Holder, Whip stitched, hand tooled leather wallet. Most likely made from a kit, this fabulous larger wallet checkbook holder can also double as a clutch! The design on the back is a hummingbird getting nectar out of a flower that is on vinees with leaves. It has a snap closure, one snap closure pocket on the inside, Three slip pockets, and another slip pocket for your checkbook. There is also a loop to hold your pen. Closed, it measures 7 5/8 " x 4" and open, it measures 11" x 7 5/8" wide. I actually don't think that this has ever been used due to the cleanliness of the inside raw leather clip pockts. However, please note two things: the snap on the inner pocket has left a mark on the opposite side from verdigris. I have cleaned the verdigris off but there is still a mark on the leather; when you unsnap the outer flap, there is what appears to be a darker discoloration probably from the dye used. My best guess is that it was not all the way dry when it was closed or there was simply a color transfer.
