Vintage Whistle “THE ACME Thunderer” 1960's

“THE ACME Thunderer” made in England. Sweet little collectible whistle made of stainless steel with a cork pea on the inside a ring holder on the end for hanging. Included is a super long chain to make it official! ACME Thunderer. launched in 1884 was the world’s first pea whistle hence this little collectible packs a punch with history. This one is presumed to be from the 60’s-70’s. Whistle length: 1-7/8" / width: 3/4 inches. As you will note from the first photo the cork bears a separation whereby the whistle no longer trills but can still work with short bursts or with slow ‘n steady airpower. Photo #5 shows rust patina to the ring and clasp. Solid exterior condition with wear consistent of a well-loved piece of its nature and time.
