Vintage Whiting & Davis Alumesh White Mesh Metal Handbag with Coin Purse The handbag has a single white metal tubular handle and a gold tone frame. It has one interior pocket (see photo #4). The handbag has a kiss-lock clasp top closure, though the handbag doesn't close snugly on one side (see photos #3,#9). The rectangular coin purse has a zipper closure. The handbag's metal beads are rounded, while the coin purse's metal beads are flat. Though both the handbag and coin purse are white, the purse has a slightly softer tone than the coin purse, so we can't call them a matched set. Made in the USA. The coin purse is in very good condition with no signs of wear. Though the mesh metal body of the handbag shows almost no wear, the purse nonetheless shows signs of wear. The gold tone frame has some marks and tarnish. The metal handle has some small scratches/chips where the white enamel is missing. The edge of the purse lining does have discolorations.
