Vintage Whiting & Davis silver mesh kisslock evening clutch purse EXCELLENT COND

Excellent condition.  Mesh is completely intact.  The silver metal frame is shiny and unblemished, and the kisslock closes tightly.  Black taffeta lining is clean and shows no signs of wear.  There is some tarnish on some of the tiny mesh pieces but I tried cleaning a few with silver polish and it comes right off.  Size is 7 inches wide x 3.5 inches tall x 1 inch deep. Probably mid-century or 1970's - modern yet elegant.  I think this is called armor mesh.  If you google Whiting & Davis you will see that they have been making mesh evening bags since 1876 and are still in business - current bags sell for $300 and up.  I found this in a thrift shop about twenty years ago, and used it maybe twice.  It's been stored carefully.  I don't think this bag has ever had much use.
