Beautiful 14K yellow gold locket personalized with the letter L in cursive. Ornate detailed border on an oval locket measuring just under an inch in length (not including the bail) by 3/4 of an inch wide. Smooth gold back engraved with “LOVE DEE & SAM 2001” and marked 14K. From Firth Jewelers in Niagara Falls, New York. The little photos the locket came with are still inside. The chain is not original, to my knowledge, and I believe it is 9K. It is a 21.5 inch chain - a nice long length, and very smooth and shiny. Looks beautiful with the locket. Together these measure 4 grams. Very cool keepsake and piece of history belonging to my aunt. freddymylove @kidsfitdoc hmm, I honestly don’t know? I will ask my cousin, who is a jeweler, next time I see him - this was likely purchased from his shop.

freddymylove @kidsfitdoc hello! I just spoke with my cousin at Firth Jewelers and he said they rarely try to remove engraving for several reasons - it can compromise the gold by denting it, depending upon how deep the engraving is and how much of it there is. He also said it can thin the gold out and bend the locket out of alignment. I’m sorry I am not of more help on this.
