Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Pleated, Cropped, High-waisted Wide Leg Trousers

From the Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche line: high-waisted, wide leg, cropped pleated trousers, probably from the late 1970s/early 1980s. Fitted waist with zipper and button closure, belt loops, front side pockets. Lovely, versatile light brown/taupe color. Fabric tag is missing but these feel unmistakeably like wool. They are unlined and in excellent vintage condition. Size: They are labeled a French size 40, which is supposed to be a US 8, but as they are vintage they seem smaller, maybe even a generous 4? With a 25" inseam, they will be cropped unless you are petite in height. SEE PHOTOS FOR MEASUREMENTS. Condition: It looks like the button has been been moved and/or replaced. The button is a bit loose, and there is a tiny hole next to the button (SEE PHOTO) that could be repaired easily and is hidden when the pants are buttoned. Otherwise these pants are in excellent condition, free of spots/stains, holes/tears, and odors. Classic, elegant, beautiful pants. I wish they fit me.
