Charming story from the 1920's by Grace Livingston Hill (aka Marcia MacDonald).
For those who don't know the story, it's set in the 1920's. The story’s main character is pretty and young Elsie Hathaway, who is good at everything she does, with many honors to prove it. She’d been living in the comfortable home of her wealthy uncle since her mother died five years ago. But, after learning that her widowed father and two brothers had fallen on hard times, she decides that there’s more to life than winning awards and honors. She realizes what’s more important is helping her family and being a positive influence on them. Can she meet this challenge? Can she win the heart of handsome Cameron Stewart in the process? Read the book and find out! This was considered a Christian romance novel at the time, but was written in a way to appeal to secular readers as well.
Size is roughly 5 in x 7 1/2 in. 256 pages. Hardback cover has normal wear given it's age; no writing or tears on the pages. Signed on the inside in 1941 by the book's owner. Sold as is.
