Vintage children's hardcover book SALLY GOES SHOPPING ALONE

Vintage children's hardcover book titled SALLY GOES SHOPPING ALONE, by Louise Eppenstein and illustrated by Esther Friend, copyright 1940. This is a delightful beginner's chapter book about an 8-year-old girl's first solo shopping trip to a big department store. Very fun! The red and black illlustrations/graphics are adorable. Vintage condition with fairly minor condition issues: some wear on spine, some minor discoloration of blue cover, one rip in the table of contents page, plus the first few pages of the book (title page, etc.) are torn near the bottom spine by about an inch, and the previous owner's name (a girl named Sally!) is printed in pen at the top of a blank page at the beginning.
