Vintage costume gem rings adjustable bubble gum machine jewelry 60’s retro ruby

Lot of 12 Novelty rings in original case. I have no idea where they are from, though the style and era give me a Hong Kong/Taiwan vibe. Bubble gum machine quality but I adore the visual presentation. The lid has a crack and is worn. 6 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches. I would love to know what it says, if you know, please share!
