Vintage custom deerskin leather pants

CUSTOM MADE DEERSKIN LEATHER PANTS sewn with leather strips & sinew. Hand made by Leather Rose Customs in 1996. Leather Rose customs was a South African couple whose deerskin leather pants and wide brim rocker hats were famous among the lower east side fashion & rocker crowd. They were the original burningman stylists way before burning man was conceived. They had a small storefront on 9th Street in Alphabet City and people would wait over a year to get a pair. They made 1 style only, super low rise with tie fly, chevron double knees, ragged boot cut, flare and only came in natural color for women and black for men. Meant to be worn every day, even to bed, never washed, the more beat up the better. This pair was only worn to a single party, albeit a party that lasted 5 days though. no rips, stains, bagged out knees. These pants are a tiny piece of LES history and the NYC rock and fashion scene back in the squatter days of Tompkins Square.
