Vintage denim shorts sz 32

In fair condition 1970/80s International Male denim shorts size 32. No holes or thin fabric but it does appear something was cut from front waistband. Waistband has flat front but elasticated back. About 3-4” inseam. Front and back pockets. First pic isn’t shorts but shows some similar styles from this era.
