It is 7 “ across ( sq ) as far as I remember they are always used in germany for sm - med, around 5-6’ trees , sometimes alittle larger ,we had used them before we came to america in 1960, my friends still use them , that’s all I can tell you , and those where for the real 🌲, hope this helps barb

@caitlinutt your welcome, alittle history ! tradition in germany , Xmas trees where bought , stored, if you lived 3 stories up , you hang it out the window to keep fresh,tree did not make it in until Xmas eve day , decorated had real. Candles on it staggered on branches ,one placed a bucket of water near by ,realy no fires ! Since candles where staggered,, taken down after New Years barb
