Vintage handmade “2” of a kind maxi dress. Gorgeous and unique. 💎

I was vintage shopping when I found this dress. The story was that they were handmade for twin sisters many many years ago. Could only grab one of them and it’s time to let her move in to someone who might be able to fit into her. This is a very old piece so there are signs of wear that are on the skirt and mostly in the back. You can tell some of the areas were patches but the fabric thinned in areas from west. Honestly I would just wear a navy slip and that would likely disguise a lot of it. The color palette of a res trellis with flowers to the bold navy skirt at the bottom truly is lovely. The back is very unique in that it ties with three straps into bows, but it is open in between those area so small parts of your back would show unless you wore a cami. It is such a piece to treasure if you are a collector. P2P 17”- W 12” flat and L 57”. There is no stretch. Grab this, she is a treasure.
