Vintage knit afghan "petal drops"

Vintage knit wool or wool blend coverlet. Cream colored yarn with a diamond knit pattern covered in red and green flower petals. There is fringe on 3 sides, with one plain. 55" x 72" with fringe. This vintage 1940s pattern was the featured afghan on the back cover of Afghans, Book 239. Officially named Petal Drops, it is made up of large and small blocks that are sewn together and fringe added. Item is in good vintage condition
