Vintage knitted sweater with leather elbow patches

This is a super nice vintage sweater/ button up cardigan. The patches on the elbows and stripe down the middle appear to be leather, but it doesn’t necessarily have that leather “smell”, so it could possibly be suede. The tag no longer exists, so I’m not exactly sure about the size or brand. The buttons are gold and all well in tact. Vintage condition, no big snags, and no big stains. There’s a little marking that’s not very noticeable on one of the arms, I’ve posted a picture.
