Vintage leather MCM blackbird; I believe this is a Deru Germany bird figurine

This vintage blackbird figurine is super cool. It is made of a black (possibly dark brown) piece of leather in an origami style by pinching the leather and using rivets to hold its form. I believe it is by Deru Germany but I am not able to find any markings. It measures approximately 6.25” tall, 4” wide and just over 6.5” long. He does have some light scuffs and wear but is still in amazing vintage condition. Please review the listing photos and video to make your own assessment of the items condition prior to purchasing. More than half a century later, these cool animals have become very expensive collectors' items. They were designed and produced by the German manufacturer DERU in Wiesbaden in the 1960s. This company made beautiful figures of different animals with an origami-like technique. All Deru animals are handmade, so no two are exactly the same.
