Vintage legendary Legacy 1847 Rogers Bros. footed salver, tray 18in silverplate

I am offering the legendary Well and Tree (of life) 18in silverplate Platter by Rogers Bros This pattern is from their highly acclaimed modernistic clean, straight lines Legacy pattern introduced in 1928. The base metals used in 1847 hallmark were copper, nickel and brass. I know for certainty that this platter is not made of copper, it’s rather made of brass. The Legacy logo is having the original font from 1928 with a larger letter L. After 1950 the font was changed to same size letters and IS standing for International Silver - their parent company since 1898 was introduced. This platter has the capital letter B in Blackletter font (mostly known as Old English) monogrammed at the top of the stylistic Tree of Life Please bare in mind that 1847 doesn’t outline a manufacturing date. That’s the year the Rogers Bros was established, in 1862 the brothers started using the 1847 as a Trade Mark logo after a manufacturing agreement with Meriden Britannia to oversee their silverplate production line I have occasionally used the platter when hosting guests and have received many acclamations it being a focal point of discussions. So it has some use marks but overall it’s in incredible shape taking into account it’s 90+ years old. It doesn’t count as an antique item yet, however.
