Vintage lithograph Pretty In Pink, Bostonian painter Meg Mercier numbered signed

Gorgeous and cheerful lithograph based on a painting by local artist Meg Mercier, of the Boston School, that stresses, among other things, the importance for the artist to always work from life. Started in mid-19th century, this tradition includes Ives Gammell, Edmund Tarbell, Frank Benson, etc. and was passed on to Meg Mercier by her teacher Paul Ingbretson, who was a student of Ives Gammell’s. The painting from which this lithograph derives depicts a pink cottage with blue shutters, viewed through a thick group of vivid pink flower bushes. Limited edition, numbered and signed by the artist. Quality matte and gold frame. Some wear on the frame, commensurate with vintage condition, but hardly visible if one stands 2 feet away or more. Biography of the artist in the back. Dimensions: sight 5”⅞ x 7”½ , frame 16” ⅜ x 14”⅜. Overall very good vintage condition.
