Vintage luxury summer-weight power suit EU 42

Elizabeth Arden The Salon, luxury dark navy pinstripe double-breasted skirt suit from the late 70’s. Has its own belt. Clever interior pocket added in blazer; back pocket in skirt. Kick pleat. Extra quality tailoring details like a fine men’s suit. Size tag 42, measurements match L or XL as follows: jacket pit to pit flat 23”, waist flat 21”, back length 30”; skirt waist measured flat 16”, hips measured flat 22”, length from top of waistband 27.5”. No fabric tag; lightweight probably wool blend made in Italy, some uniform sheen to the fabric, likely some areas too harshly pressed by dry cleaners. Definitely well loved but the exterior fabric is amazingly resilient. Fully lined, unfortunately the back lining center seam of the skirt has frayed badly, with several possible solutions including leaving it as is. A classy workhorse for court appearances or other professional settings. One very tiny disruption of fabric surface on one lapel. Buttons are real shell, and have flaked edges from the cleaners, one is particularly misshapen.
