linendenimdada @matildalady Hi - how do I "tag" you? I'm listing a lot over the next week. I don't work professionally anymore (MS) so I only have a few business outfits left and I'm having a hard time letting them go. I'm having a hard time figuring this Posh thing out. I don't do social media so even though I understand the content of "following" I really don't want to. Later!

careerwear @linendenimdada I understand. My teens use social media a lot more than I do. I can see, though, how it might be a good thing in selling online. We'll see! To tag someone you don't have to follow them. Either reply to my comment here with an update that you have new listings ...or if multiple people ask you to do that then you can enter their username in list fashion at the beginning of your comment. (@matildalady then the next name, etc....)

careerwear That is when you want to send a single message out to multiple people at once (without typing the same thing repeatedly). Only use a "tag list" for ppl who ask to be included in your updates. Hope this makes sense!

careerwear @linendenimdada I agree!! I'm finding some great deals on this site. It will be all I can do to not spend too much money. Ha! I was reading your bundle and shipping policy. I thought that if we go over the allotted weight then Poshmark expects us (the seller) to purchase the extra postage. If so then you offering extra discounts to offset heavier weight bundles may cut deep into your $ when you're paying for the extra shipping, yourself.....

careerwear think this is why I see some sellers put a cap on the # of items they'll bundle. I also see where some sellers break 6+ items into separate bundles. Buyer pays shipping on each bundle but keeps seller from having to eat the cost of a lot of extra shillings costs. -Just a thought.

careerwear Okay. I just found it on their FAQ's. For each pound above 5 lbs the SELLER pays almost $4 extra per pound. It is deducted from the profits on your sale/i.e., your account. That must be why some ppl have bundle limits (or they take that into account in their pricing models)

linendenimdada I'm taking photos for listings. Wow! I have a lot of clothes I don't wear anymore. I emailed Poshmark about private messaging. No they do not allow it. That bothers me because I'm not a tweeter etc. and not used to having what I say "out here".

linendenimdada I'm giving it a month. Oh -$4 per lb? I thought I read that Poshmark would recalculate the additional shipping. Charigng that much doesn't;t make sense. It costs buyers money money to split things up. I have pocketbooks that are almost five lbs - do I not sell two at a time? A Month. Your closet does look nice. You are doing a great job staging. linendenimdada Oh, I'm not doing the follow thing. It's too much for me. Hopefully Posher will search for items I will list and maybe see something else they like. I'm selling my vintage jewelry somewhere else. Doesn't seem to be a demand here. Current trends rule. I am listing some vintage cloths that are back in style. Old tartan and plaids. Real jeans ( no stretch) I have boxes!

careerwear @linendenimdada Well, no private messages....I think it is to protect us from scammers? I've read other users suggestions that when someone comments on an item and asks "will you take $-- for this?" that you should respond "make me an (official) offer and I will respond." If you answer in the comments then you're basically telling EVERYONE you'll take a lower price since all comments are public. If the person doesn't buy then you're basically stuck having to lower your asking price.

careerwear @linendenimdada thx for the feedback on my closet! I counted and inventoried tons of stuff this last weekend to list. I'm not sure on the bundling and heavier items. Maybe need to get a scale so I'll be able to anticipate if I will need extra postage so I can factor that into whether to accept a bundle?

linendenimdada @matildalady so much for just offering low prices. Now I have to change my listing again? I'll buy here but not sell. There are other outlets where I won't lose the sale because I don't watch your feed. Plus I turn my phone off when I'm resting or in a doctors office etc. I definitely don't drive with my phone on. I'm so old school! Plus this is tiring – is no place for someone that has a disability that includes fatigue, eyesight and does not text. You've been a big help.

careerwear @linendenimdada Sure! I'd be glad to keep in touch. And, due to the ability to search on the site by brand, size, etc. I'm betting your items will draw interest even if you don't do a lot of following/the social part, etc. I would definitely submit some things to the themed "parties," so that your items are seen by a broad audience of potential customers that way too. Although I haven't done it yet, I think it is easy to share items into those parties.

linendenimdada @sfox222 the listing stated the jacket was XL it is L. I have a screen shot of listing and the jacket. It also smelled like smoke and frebreeze. (I’d get your money back from your dry cleaner.) Nothing personal - I didn’t get the item as described. Mistakes happen. Good luck with your future sales.

linendenimdada @sfox222 please don’t say you “even had it dry cleaned.” It reeked of cig smoke and frebreeze. There was a handwritten “dry cleaned” but no dry cleaners tag. The dry cleaners I go to charge a small fortune to clean a jacket It’s machine washable anyway. An apology for sending the wrong size would’ve sufficed.

linendenimdada @sfox222 send a copy of the dry cleaning receipts I will retract that part of my compliant. As for not messaging you, it is the only way I can contact you. Rest assured I will not be contacting you after this is resolved. I 1/2just let this go if you hadn’t gotten so ugly in your messages. Now it’s a matter of principle.
