@nickitillery I have all of this rough turquoise some polished not. A lot of wood beads and stones that would look good on men's jewelry. I'm going to do a little probably just sting on leather cord. I have some books and see what I can copy online. I'm going to just fool with it some

@gollysue My dads doing OK. He's back in rehab 2x a week doing strengthening exercises. My grandson will be here this weekend. So excited to see him! Leaving on a cruise next week with my best friend to Cozumel, Mexico.

@nickitillery wow that sounds so fun.! That's funny my granddaughter is coming next week to spend the summer with me. She will be 15 this week. It should be exciting. I will have a teenager again. I love her so much I have raised her half of her life. Her mom was in the service as a single mom and so we raised her a good part of her life when she was overseas.

@jomeem that's good. My husband has been recovering from prostate cancer over the past four years. He had to go through chemo and radiation and has been on a real strong medication this past year. He is in remission right now. He was never able to have surgery because it had metastasized before we caught it, so always the fear of it coming back. The medication cost $11,000 a month. Crazy Huh? So far insurance and the drug company are paying for it. But what a scare. Cancer is a bugger.ππΊ

@gollysue Yes, it is a bugger! This is my second "go-around" with it. Mine is in my colon. I'm on meds too. No chemo or radiation this time. Most of my guts are gone, so this is my last best hope. It hasn't metastasized anywhere else as far as they can tell.... Worried about my liver though. I have alot of testing next week. I hate all that part. It takes alot of a person for all that. The "not know" is the worst part, I think. Thanx for the "well wishes and blessings" πππ

@gollysue I'm fortunate as far as costs. I'm the widow of a Viet Nam 100% disabled Vet, so I get all my medical paid for, thank God! I get transfusions at home every day. Nurses come to my house and do them so I don't have to be in hospital. I live alone and have no family here, so that really helps me alot. God is good and I am so fortunate... So many aren't. I will pray for your husband and you and your family too. I hope all continues to go well for you all too! Bless you! β€οΈπΉπ

@jomeem how's your day going? Can I ask a question? What kind of transfusions are they giving you? Is there anything that they could do for you that they are not for whatever reason? Just curious how the VA is taking care of you? You hear all kinds of things these days. I have taken the day off of sharing to get ready for my granddaughter. I will catch you later Galπ΅π»πΉπΊπ

@gollysue m yes, I'm very anemic and my electrolytes are low and I have a blood infection too, so i'm on several different bottles of things. I have nurses that come in twice a day and stay several hours to administer these things and help me around the house and fix my meals and do errands, as I'm not able to right now. I through a fit and told my Doc I wouldn't stay in hospital and had no other help, so he arranged this. They do it for my Dad too. VA can be great sometimes.

@gollysue Oh, and they have somehow hooked my phone up to a monitoring system where I put my blood pressure cuff on and the reading for all my vitals goes directly into the phone and the doctors somewhere? I don't understand it, but that's another thing they did. I do that twice a day also. The nurses that they sent cook and clean and do my laundry and change my sheets and make me do physical therapy too! They're wonderful. VA has changed alot since my hubby was alive.

@gollysue I have a VA rep that I've know for 15 years. She has been a huge help. She helped me and my hubby arrange our wedding and she helped me arrange his funeral too. After he passed, she helped me get his pension when they tried to deny me. I don't know if i could have gotten all of this done had it not been for her. She worked with my Doc and helped set this all up. She is an Angel π

I have a busy weekend but I plan to be around and share I'm trying to get ready for her to come and figure out where she's going to put her stuff. I hardly have much space myself living in a trailer and all. A year ago I moved from a five bedroom house and actually enjoyed five closets. Two of them in my master bedroom. I sure miss them, however, life changes and you must roll with those changes. π΄

And her mom paid extra to have her escorted so hopefully everything goes all right she has to fly through Seattle. I hate that airport it is so confusing. They have these trains that you have to take and I absolutely get lost every time I took it so I hope they do a good job and don't lose her.π₯
