Vintage painting on wood

A sweet combo of decoupage and painting on wood, circa 1960s or 70s by Jan, depicting a child in a star patterned outfit, kerchief and tasseled red cap playing the drum. Maybe the little drummer boy? It looks like a painting but on closer inspection you see that the star outfit, kerchief and checked patched are decoupaged over the paint. Measures 11.75 x 5.5 x .75 inches. Condition is good; there is one small ding but it blends in pretty well and isn’t very noticeable- see pics. Cord on the back makes it ready to hang. A charming and folksy piece, perfect for the vintage lover.
