Vintage poppy flower brooch pin

Vintage red poppy brooch—early, hand painted plastic from the estate of a WWII enlisted Navy WAVE. Sylvia Muriel Franson (1914-1999) was one of five Minneapolis siblings to join the service after the attack on Pearl Harbor—for whom the red poppy would’ve held particularly strong sentimental value. roughly 1.5” x 1.75”, and high relief: roughly half an inch thick. 1940s? 50s?
