This Ciner brooch is likely from the 1950s and features beautiful curves! Signed. Rare piece in excellent condition with two rows of pearls, and two rows of clear crystals with a row of channel-set ruby red crystals. Ciner started as a fine jewelry maker in 1892 and transitioned to making costume pieces in 1931. Their costume jewelry is praised for its fidelity to its fine jewelry roots -- many of the pieces were modeled after their higher-end sister pieces -- and the company boasted that it was the only company that fabricated its costume pieces by hand, from start to finish, and often using the original models created by its founder. The company ultimately closed in 2022. Ciner was famous for using Austrian crystals and Japanese glass pearls. We are not positive, but based on our extensive research we believe that this piece uses those materials to create this lovely, very rare, and sensuous piece. See photos for the amazing details!
