Vintage smocked polkadot girls party frock dress

Vintage polkadot fabric girls dress with smocking across chest and on arms. Circa 1950s or earlier. Hand embroidered detailing on Peter Pan collar. Fabric is large and tiny polkadot print in blues and yellow against an off white background. No labels or tags - please use provided measurements for sizing and fit- listed size 3T is approximate. Fastens in the back with two metal snaps and two hook and eye closures (it looks like one eye has been replaced- see photos). Faint discoloration in small spots are difficult to see and blend into pattern -see photos. Fabric feels like a very soft rayon - drapes beautifully. Possibly handmade- if so, expertly done.
