Vintage wool felt hat. Women's Glenover Faum Tra-Felt. Henry Pollak

Vintage 100% wool felted (fur hair) hat. 1940s or 1950s?? Round hat has a brim that is a little longer (2.25") at the front with a bow on the side. Brim is not perfectly straight; I think it has a little twist. But the brim still has structure and does not sag down when worn. Inside of hat measures about 7" in diameter. An accordion style ribbon is woven through the body. The body of the hat is shallow, not like a cloche hat. Markings inside the hat are clear: "Glenover Faum Tra-Felt Henry Pollak Inc. New York" No signs of sweat or holes from pins. Stitching is in perfect condition. I bought this hat from an antique store in 1996 and have stored it boxed. I wore it once with a costume in about 2000. Since the body of the hat is shallow I wore my hair up and attached the hat to my hair. I wonder now if I was supposed to wear the hat with the longer edge of the brim down as seen in the last photo???? Hat is clean with no smells. There is a small discoloration on the brim as seen in the pictures but I haven't tried to remove the spot for fear of damaging the hat. Smoke-free and Pet-free since 1996.
