Vintage/Antique Chinese Hand Embroidered Floral & Birds Full Length Ladies Coat

In the 1920’s, the Western world had a great fascination with all things art deco and East Asian. Places like Japan and China began to export pieces made specifically for the European tourist market. These pieces combined classic design elements of the East Asian culture with a slight Western twist to the cut and colors. Embroidered jackets & coats like this gorgeous one were amongst the most prized. This is an exquisite black silk overcoat hand embroidered with absolutely brilliant colors. The pattern and design are stunning, consisting of vibrant birds perched among various colorful flowers. Fully lined in solid black, and closes with two large fabric covered buttons and matching loops. Excellent preowned condition and extremely wearable! No makers label or size tags. Measures approx. Shoulder: 17.5". - Bust: 18.5" - Length: 38" from collar to bottom of the jacket hem - Slits on back panel seams: 17” long. (I wear a women’s size 8 and it fits me very comfortably).
