😻@tub Let me look up on my inventory sheet. I base it on what I pay for each piece, as it's a business & how I get my family by. I pay a lot for my jewelry & don't do the big mark ups, (I had no idea this is how the site was until after I'd set it all up), so I don't make much, especially after Posh takes their huge chunk. So I'll look at what I paid & see what kind of wiggle room I may have. I wish the vintage was not so hard to come by & I could sell them less expensive.

When I signed up here, I had no idea that "bundles" we're done (I had no idea what they were), & always priced things at the lowest I could afford to go because it's not about greed, (& had no idea that people mark up so much), but I of course have to make some. With Posh taking 20%, it eats up all room that I have.

@tub 🌷 My story about getting little Monroe was when she showed up the day after my fathers funeral, in the back yard at my brothers house. My dad was my absolute life, so the grief has been quite unbearable. In a totally different way, yet, same, losing him was like when you lose a spouse. Part of me went with him.

I so hear you! My father passed away 8 years ago. I to was my "daddy's girl" and I was with a friend at a store when I got the call that he had suddenly died! I fainted in the store! I haven't been the same since I lost him. A piece of me went with him as well as my husband.

I am having a very, very difficult time with the loss of my dad, and sure was not expecting to come home that day finding out about this rotten thing in my head! I am so sorry to hear about your medical problems! I will pray for you and a speedy recovery! I am disabled, I have degeneration of the spine. I was first diagnosed with arthritis when I was 28. It just progressed from there. But I was able to work and get our daughter to age 19 before I was unable to work anymore. I can be your shoulder to lean on, if you need one.

I believe that God will provide a way. If you belong to a church I know if you approach them and explain what is going on they will not only put you on the prayer list but will also help you out financially. I know that it's hard to ask for help, I have a hard time doing it. But I know that when I have the results have been awesome!

@tub I lost him four months ago, quite recently. He had dementia. Due to my illness, although I live only a little over two hours away, I could not drive to see him for four years, and my brother would not come to pick me up. I felt it was dire I get to him, and my friend offered to drive me half way and my brother said he would pick me up the other half way. I was so excited to FINALLY get to see him, after four years.

@tub Even though my biggest bead was he not knowing me, I did not care! I HAD to see him! I was so excited I was in tears. Hit my hair done, had my cameras ready, luggage at the door ready to leave in the morning. At 11:24, the night before me I was to leave to go see him, I got the call, he had passed.

@tub It was undeniable, daddy did not want me to see him the way he was, he wanted me to have my last memories of him to be as he was the last time I saw him, when he first went into the dementia care home facility, but mind still working well enough to talk on the phone.

@tub He knew I was coming, somewhere in there, he knew. That timing was not something you could call coincidence. So, instead of going home to have the joy of seeing him, I went home to Palm Springs to plan his funeral. So, that is why, I believe, it is also undeniable that God, and Daddy brought this homeless, scrawny, dirty little black kitten into my brothers yard, totally randomly when I just happened to be over there, unplanned, the day after his funeral.

Yes!😊! It is definitely a CZ & it's beyond gorgeous! In the last photo it is exactly the color. Doesn't show so well against the black.

@medievalblonde so the setting. I bought four of them back in the 90's. They were expensive back then, China hadn't taken over so they were still up in price & I had a good job with some disposable income. NOT now! The boxes said "silver rhodium played." Now, I've collected vntg jewelry for 41 years, & in my experience, with contemporary jewelry when it says "rhodium played" it's been over silver or 925. I do wear one of the rings & have never had any wearing off of the rhodium. (Next message)

@medievalblonde Rhodium has platinum in it so it gives things a "white" "chrome" color & shine. I took out the two rings (they aren't up for sale so I can get to them, the things for sale are stacked in plastic tubs I need a ladder to get to), & girl, I took my jewelers loop out, squinted around the band so much , it cracked my Botox! Haha!

@medievalblonde They are not stamped. But, they do not stick to a magnet, mine is very strong, & Sterling will not stick. Then again, could be plating too thick to reach through to a base metal. So just with my experience, & from wearing one for years & it not scratching off,, what ever they are, they are very high quality.

@medievalblonde Sis I make any sense? And, each time it said "played" it should have said "plated" thank you auto correct! Just a little info. This comes from the precious metals law from 1903, in US, by law, silver doesn't have to be marked. If it is marked, it should have a assay mark somewhere. You can tell if something is Sterling (although, if platings are too thick), silver & gold will never stick to a magnet. If there is any base metal, it will stick, or slightly pull. Means it's not real

@taunyaarmstrong ok...my experience which hs been extensive. 100yrs ago marked and unmarked. But.... any jewelry after 1920 was on most part marked silver..sterling now 925. If not marked it's not:/ also silver has a feel to it..buttery feel:) now if no mark it is not silver. Very rare would a designer put a cz in a silver tone setting. It could be crystal.. cz is very distinctive with many cuts when looking inside the stone. Do u have any vintage jewelry?

@medievalblonde Exactly, those were the years I'd always thoughts. It I was looking it up again the other day or that specific reason, to find out when the year went in & came back across the gold & silver assay (?) rules, that's where I got the info about not having to be stamped & thats why sometimes on pieces which were studio made (I collect studio jewelry), isn't always marked. It room, or, they can't afford to have a makers mark which says they have to have if they mark something 925.
