@ellenwho72070 they are too big - I usually wear a 7 and just took a chance on these because they were so cute. I feel like they are be true to size for an 8/8.5. should have known better with the sizing :)
The strap around the heel is velcro to allow for a more custom adjustment. It is not noticeable once on though.
