Turquoise was a hot color in the early to mid 50's just as it is now. These beads reflect that fad. Really beautiful condition. Modified barrel shape glass turquoise beads with a gold wire wrap "bird nest" for the clasp. The beads have a shiny band around each one creating that slight barrel shape. Vogue was one of several high end jewelry designers of the '50's and 60's. Bernard Shapiro (of Les Bernard Jewelry) got his start with his father, Harold Shapiro, at Vogue.
