W.E. Richards Company was established in the jewelry production hub of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, around 1900. The company was known for using gold plating as well as gold-filled metalwork. Some jewelry (Symmetalic) was made using sterling silver and karat gold as well. The designs created reflect the styles popular during each period in which they were produced. Designs range from Victorian to Art Deco to more modern varieties.
Zircon is the oldest mineral on Earth, dating back more than 4.4 billion years. During the Middle Ages, people believed that zircon gemstones could induce sound sleep, ward off evil, and bring prosperity and wisdom.
