Stunning white double layer sheer nylon négligée robe from the mid to late 1950s. The robe has a flirty bodice hook and eye closure with two mother of pearl buttons as decoration. The rest of the robe is completely open front. The bodice yoke has a layer of lace in between the layers of nylon adding to the romantic look of the gown while the small gathers at the hem of the yoke flatter the bustline. The sleeves of the robe have a small puff at the shoulder and are full and flowing. The cuff of the sleeve and the bottom hemline also have the same lace underlay as the bodice. The robe is in impeccable condition for its age. There are no snags, tears or discoloration to the fabric and the structure of the robe is as if it were just bought at the store yesterday.
