Vtg 1960s 1970s Hanover Brands Promo Pencil Case Set with Blue Ruler Orange Case

For sale is a Vintage Pencil Box Set made as a custom promotional item for Hanover Brands during the 1960s to 1970s. "Hanover Brands," now Hanover Foods Corporation, is widely known for its canned and frozen vegetables. The set features a red-orange pencil box with a likeness of the company's mascot, "Elfie," stamped in light orange on the bottom. A blue ruler with customized lettering doubles as a sliding top to the case, which contains an unused red pencil (also bearing the customized lettering "GOOD FOODS FROM HANOVER)," as well as unused generic red and yellow crayons. The set is in NEW & UNUSED condition, although the eraser on the pencil has hardened from age. (SEE PICTURES for condition details). My father-in-law worked as an executive food broker for the A&P grocery store chain in the 1970s and 1980s, and he received this as a promotional item.
