Vtg 1980 Matryoshka Dolls Vyatka 7 Items Made at the Vyatka factory, Kirov, Russia Original Booklet Original Tag We spent a month in Russia in 1980. Mainly cruising on the World Discover Cruise Ship. During the trip, we collected many items from Russia and the Olympic Games. This set of Matryoshka dolls was high lighted in all the BERIOZKA Stores in Russia in 1980. The exact set is seen on the inside of the brochure/booklet in the photos. The booklet opens up to a map of the Russian Federation 1980. We also have the book "Mochkba -80 that gives the history of these famous dolls. The booklet and book are not included in this item. However, I can provide copies for you if you wish. From a page in the Mochkba 80 book: "The Kirov matryoshka nest soll is to be recognized from the first glance: the doll wears that combination of a modest, witty and coquettish look. It is the only doll whose sarafan contains elements made of golden straw. Sometimes Kirov matryoshkas are designed with big bright bunches of flowers, or with clusters of ripe berry." The inlaid work on these dolls is just amazing. The dolls are in near excellent condition. Stamped on the base as well. The dolls measure from 7 1/2" to 1".
