Rare vintage promo pin to promote the 1988 debut release by The Chiefs of Relief, the band founded by Bow Wow Wow guitarist Matthew Ashman and Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook after Bow Wow Wow broke up. The pin measures 1.25” in diameter. The edge of the pin reads “© 1988 Sire Records Company Made In U.S.A. For promotional use only Not for sale.” Back in the 1980s and 1990s, my ex ran a very cool record store and he was always giving me promo items – cds, tapes, stickers, pins, t-shirts. This pin was a 1988 promo from Sire Records that I never wore. It’s been in storage for over 30 years. It is in very good condition with no damage. From a smoke-free, pet-free home.
