Cotton Meadows. This is an iconic Laura Ashley floral dress from the 80s — an instantly recognizable brand classic. Crafted from high-quality cotton, the dress is in mint, like-new, condition without any flaws. Made in Great Britain. A perfect wear-anywhere piece, it features puff sleeves, two side pockets, a square neckline, a pleated drop waist, and a discreet concealed zip down back. Gorgeous soft pink, purple, green, and white hibiscus flowers, tulips, roses, peonies, and pansies blossom all over the long sleeve midi dress creating the ultimate floral print. Size 6, small to medium (could viably fit contemporary size 4). The fabric is stunning: breathable and lightweight. Alternatively, I’ve always thought this dress could be converted into a spring/summer sleeveless floral dress (or keep part of the sleeves intact to retain and create a short puff cap sleeve.) The fabric is plentiful, great for reimagining into baby clothes, household pieces, quilting, or women’s wear. I’d keep this special dress but have too many clothes. Must.purge.closet.
