Fantastic large 2.5 QUART casserole dish perfect for covered dish suppers and family get togethers! This dish is a piece from the vintage Corning Ware pattern set Cornflower Blue and can go straight from the freezer to the oven but shouldn't be used in the dishwasher or microwave. 🙂 The bowl measures approximately 8.5" in width and 3/5" in height. The dish is in excellent vintage condition with normal surface contact markings (see last photo). What will you be baking first in this dish? Through the years, this popular oven-to-table pattern has been produced in a wide variety of piece types, and is a terrific way to add vintage charm. Microwave safe labeling was added some time after 1980 when these appliances became more prevalent in average households. Before 1998, the company used a "Corning Ware" stamp in two words. In 1998, the company switched to a one-word "Corningware". In 2002, Corning discontinued their kitchenware. But in 2009, the company brought its iconic kitchenware back. The newly made pieces displayed a one-word "CorningWare".
