Vtg Grindley Ohio Hillbilly Hound Dog Figurine

Vintage from the 1930s. This figurine has the date 11-5-52 written on the bottom of a paw (as pictured). Materials: Ohio pottery, paint, glaze, pottery, clay This is an uncommon vintage pottery dog figurine is either Grindley, or Chic pottery, both out of Ohio in the 1930's. Both companies made similar wares, but usually the connected eyebrow is attributed to Chic and their Hill Billy line ( hillbilly). But I have also seen the same eyebrow and eyes attributed to Grindley Artware. Whichever one it is.... this guy is rare in this particular pose, and size. He has some weight to him. I find no chips or cracks etc. Very very good condition for its age.
