Stunning vintage Noritake lusterware trinekt dish!
*Porcelain lusterware
*Vivid, gorgeous colors--an ombre effect was applied to the orange
*Lobed and scalloped edges with black trim
*Features a swan swimming in a pond with a windmill, tall yellow foliage and trees in the background
*Would look fantastic paired with the other Noritake lusterware piece I have listed. They perfectly complement one another, each with a swan swimming in a pond and with some of the same colors so that they match.
*Perfect as a nut dish, candy dish, trinket tray, or a small catchall
Fun fact: "The 'M' inside the wreath logo on the back of this dish was used from approximately 1914 to 1940. The "M" stood for "Morimura," which was the name of the brothers who imported items from Japan to the US. They stopped importing to the United States in 1940, due to the US being one of their enemies during WWII. After the war, several more years passed before Noritake started to again supply dinnerware to the US. In the 1950s, an 'N' in the wreath replaced the 'M'."
Condition: Excellent with no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. Only a tiny bit of the leaf on the Niagara Glen Canada logo is missing.
Crosslisted.
