Magnificent, Rare Ovington Brothers Repousse French Gold Hand Mirror & Brush Gilt Bronze Set. I do not think they are from the same set as they have a slightly different coloring. The mirror is a floral chased 'gold' mirror with gilt accents. A blue and white enamel band surrounds an extremely detailed Repousse scene with men and horses near a stream and the brush features a romantic couple, horses, dogs and others. The handle shows a torch which reads France, Ovington, New York. This is an incredibly rare mirror and brush by Ovington Brothers, 330 5th Avenue, New York, made in the late 1800's. The mirror measures 11" long by 4 3/4" wide. The brush measures 10" in height and the head of the brush measures 4.5" across. Both of these pieces are in beautiful condition; the beveled mirror is a bit loose and has scratches on it but is held securely in place.
