Vtg PAIRPOINT NEW BEDFORD GLASS MUSEUM CHRISTMAS Crystal Pressed Glass Cup Plate

This Pairpoint Glass cup plate 101 features a snowflake design in clear crystal pressed glass. It was commissioned in 1980 as the fifth annual Christmas plate for the New Bedford Glass Museum. Only 8,104 plates were pressed before the mould was destroyed. Vintage Pairpoint Glass lead crystal cup plates are works of art that feature intricate designs and decorative elements not commonly found on modern glass. The artisan’s initials and the Pairpoint trademark are embedded in the design (circled in black on photo). The Pairpoint Glass Company of Sagamore, MA, is the oldest glass making company in the USA, well-known for manufacturing quality crystal cup plates from the 1920’s through the 1990’s.
