Vintage Set of Two Verde Casserole Bowls- #473 - 1 Qt. Solid Green and #471 - 1 Pt. Green on White. Manufactured from 1968 - 1972. Multiple versions of Verdé were released concurrently. The square floral design of Verdé was borrowed from an earlier pattern called Autumn Floral. New items were continuously added to Verdé due to its popularity. The Square Floral pattern features 4 petaled flowers in a squarish configuration. A 1967 advertisement announced the arrival of Verdé: “Now Pyrex Ware goes Continental. Verdé. Verdé! The newest look in Pyrex Ware. In the contemporary avocado colors you want: striking blends of rich greens that reflect the flavor and grace of the Continent…This year go continental in Verdé!—it’s Pyrex Ware of another color.” The Solid Green 1 Qt. measures approx. 7 1/2" Handle to Handle x 6 1/4" Diameter x 3 1/4" H. The Green on White 1 Pt. measures approx. 7 1/2" Handle to Handle x 6 1/4" Diameter x 2" H. Both dishes are in overall excellent condition. There are a few light surface scratches on the interior bottom and top rims of both dishes. The Solid Green has one small spot of paint loss and the Green on White has a small chip on the exterior bottom rim. Please review pictures.
